Install or Replace Electrical Systems
New wiring encompasses the process of installing or replacing electrical systems including wires, and related components (like outlets, switches, and panels) to energize a building or a specific area within it. Ensuring electrical codes and safety standards are followed, testing and inspection after install ensure the new components are functional and safe.
When adding a new circuit breaker to your electrical panel this is considered new wiring according to Nova Scotia Power. Nova Scotia Power has very specific criteria for what they decide requires an electrical permit. It is always best to consult with an electrician and check with Nova Scotia Power before proceeding with any new wiring.
We recommend not doing just the minimum current requirements. Have a plan for the future in case you may have additional electrical needs. It is much more economical to address these early.
